And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
- Revelation 22:17 (KJV)
Hello Advance and DC City Church Family!
My prayer is that you continue to stand in the boundless hope and endless love of God during these times, which are no challenge to Him. I encourage you to continue to think on those things that are lovely, let no corrupt communication come from you, believe God against all the odds, and love one another as Jesus loves you. Declare this with me: We are well. We resist sickness, sin, and sorrow. We are making a difference in these times. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Please give your attention to the following matters regarding these times in which we overcome:
How can we serve you? If you have any needs, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are here for each other, especially during these times.
All services are cancelled during this time, but the doors of the church are open. "Church service", as churches so practice, is not a Biblical mandate; but coming together and availability are clear in Scripture. The doors of the church are open enables us to be true to the mission of the church, which has no boundaries. Whosoever will, let him come is the steadfast and unmovable Divine Invitation, until Jesus comes. So on Sundays from 10 am til noon, we open the doors with no agenda. All are welcomed, none are required, come and go during those times as you please. We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together and do our best to stay consistent with the "guidelines" of our government. We affirm that the church is essential and must remain the place where people find hope, healing, and help.
Keeping the house of the Lord clean. We are sanitizing the environment before and after the open doors. We have chairs three-yards apart in row and column. We are also purchasing air purifiers. All entrants must use hand sanitizer (and preferably wash hands) before and after entry into/from the building. For CDC guidelines, go here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
What can our church do? If you have any ideas about how we as a community can serve the community at-large, do three things - pray about it, plan it, and send the plan to email@example.com Ideas without plans are not useful in crisis times. What we need is commitment to implement. So, send your well-prayed-through and well-planned ideas. We want to do our part in these times.
Listen to the Word. Having done a series of messages on Facebook-live, I encourage you to listen to them. In these times, the "sent-ones" have the Word of the Lord for us. We are strengthened and prepared through those words.
We are well. We resist sickness, sin, and sorrow. We are making a difference in these times. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling - into sin, into sickness, into sorrow - be glory, honor, and dominion forever. Amen.
