In order to facilitate unifying Advance and DC City, I am establishing a transition team. The first meeting will be held on Sunday, March, 8th, at 3:00 - 4:30 pm. We will send location details to registered participants.
The purpose of the transition team is to create, coordinate, and communicate actions which will successfully lead us to Better - one church in one location for the sake of the next generation. The team will:
Prosecute feedback from the Connections groups.
Validate vision and mission statements.
Validate methodology (strategy & programs) for the church’s mission.
Develop transition plan (t-plan) for BETTER. To include, goals, deadlines, roles, who’s responsible, resource requirements, etc.
Recruit others to participate in executing t-plan.
Communicate with family all along the way.
Revise and adjust as appropriate.
Plan and execute “Celebration Weekend” - when we formally come together as One.
Continue to work on improvements, as needed.
In effect, we are relaunching, resetting, re-configuring and reviving the ministry. It's not about us. This is us at work for the blessing of those that we serve. In exchange, we get blessed too.
Things are getting Better.
